Quit with the Twitter feeds on websites!

I don't use Twitter. I'm not a big fan of the whole, mass-texting people everytime I have a random though, thing. If I want to share a random thought, I'll put it on Facebook. If people want to read my random thoughts, they can read them on Facebook (or here) at their leisure. I don't want or need to bother everyone I know by sending a message that I just ate a bowl of cheerios straight to their cell phones in real-time.

But I understand that people do like Twitter, and I can see how it can be valuable. So I'm not going to go to the extreme of saying "I hate Twitter! Everybody should stop using Twitter!" But what I am going to say is: Please stop putting Twitter feeds on your damned websites!

That shit gets indexed by search engines, you know. And the content changes every few hours (or sometimes minutes). So by the time that page shows up on a search result, the Twitter message that contained the indexed texts is probably long since burried by 50,000 new Twitter messages.

I don't want to do internet searches and get websites showing up in which someone Tweeted a question or statement similar to what I was searching for, only to find that the Tweet isn't on that page anymore. I get all excited thinking I had just found the answer to my problem! Then I get to the page to find that the page actually has nothing to do with what I was searching for, but some random off-topic Tweet had been posted on that site's Twitter Feed a few days ago that isn't there anymore.

I don't even get Tweets, and they still found a way to waste my time!

UPDATE: I do use Twitter now!

Hooray for hypocritical me! I do use Twitter now. You can follow me at Twitter.com/MegaBearsFan.

Ah yes, google should implement a way to identify what content is coming from Twitter (and other types of feeds) and then allow an option in search like "-feed:twitter" so that you can omit results that hit based on those twitter feeds/sections on a webpage.

I doubt that will happen though, so in the meantime, yes, you will get all sorts of random useless twits showing up in your search results.
