Konami recently released some early assets for the upcoming game Silent Hill Downpour. Included in these assets were new screenshots and a downloadable preview of the first track of the game's soundtrack, which is now being composed by Dexter composer Daniel Licht after series veteran Akira Yamaoka retired from Konami last year (a sad day for Silent Hill fans everywhere).

Earlier this week, I had another game review posted on Game Observer (now defunct as of 05/13/2014). This time, it was a review for the PSN downloadable game Back to the Future: The Game - Episode I:

TellTale games has crafted themselves a wonderful little piece of fan service in Back to the Future: The Game. The game really does feel like a labor of love, as the developers clearly put a lot of time and effort into getting the details right and being as respectful to the source material as they could. Characters, environments, and props all look exactly as you’d expect them to (within the style of animation used), and the voices are mostly spot-on. The voice of Marty is replicated by the fantastic Marty McFly impressionist AJ LoCascio, Christopher Lloyd himself was tapped to return as Doc Emmett Brown, and the supporting cast all do an excellent job. Except for Biff. Biff didn’t sound quite right. At least not to me. This game will no doubt draw in any Back to the Future fan right from its opening moments, in which it replicates Doc Brown’s unveiling of the time machine and the first time travel experiment...

Last night's episode of The Colbert Report was a rare episode in which I actually watched the guest interview because (for once) the discussion was about a national economic issue that may have actually affected me directly. Last night's guest was Jeffry Leonard of The Washington Monthly, who recently wrote an article about the increasing amount of large corporations who are essentially stiffing thier small business partners when it comes time to pay the bill. Many large corporations are switching to the "net-60-plus" system of paying debts, in which they will pay off small companies that they hire in 60 or 120 days after the invoice is filed instead of the 30 days that has been standard since the beginning of time (that's an exaggeration - mostly). Spider-Man reboot costume

We have an actual title for the 2012 Spider-Man reboot: "The Amazing Spider-Man".

This is exactly what I wanted to hear! Very early rumors said that the movie would be based on the Ultimate Spider-Man line of comics. I hate the Ultimate Marvel comics. I can't really give a specific reason why. I just don't like the reworks for most character backstories in the Ultimate universe. So when I heard that the next Spidey film would be a reboot, I was kind of glad. The first two Raimi films were not bad, but I didn't like that they ignored Gwen Stacy in the first movie. The third movie was so bad that I really just didn't want that story line to continue any more.

Sekiro may be FromSoft's first Souls-like with a truly exclusionary difficultySekiro may be FromSoft's first Souls-like with a truly exclusionary difficulty06/10/2019 I never got into Tenchu because the demos were too hard for younger me. Oh, boy, was this a tough game to play and review! Frequent readers should probably know that I'm a huge Souls-Borne fan -- to the point of writing strategies and lore analyses. Sekiro is a bit different, however. It's much further divorced from Dark Souls...
