Star Trek: Infinite Space

According to an article I read today, the upcoming free-to-play browser-based MMO Star Trek: Infinite Space (being developed by Keen Games) may be canceled if its publisher Gameforge cannot procure financial support from a co-publisher.

Today, Rockstar released the first trailer for the inevitable juggernaut that will be Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar has been pretty quiet the past few years after the release of GTAIV. They published L.A. Noire, but they didn't develop it - leaving that responsibility to Australia-based Team Bondi. In fact, other than expansions for Red Dead Redemption and GTAIV, Rockstar really hasn't done much of anything the past few years.

But it looks like that is going to change soon.

The trailer was released on Rockstar's official YouTube channel, and can be seen below:

No release date was given with the video, but I can't imagine it hitting shelves any earlier than late 2012.

Gameplay and plot details are also scarce, but we do get a few valuable bits of information from the trailer. ..

Remember a few months ago when I found a baby tortoise just crossing the streets in front of my house?

Koopa the Tortoise

Well, nobody claimed it (still don't know if it's male or female), so I've decided to keep it and named it "Koopa". I was thinking of "Bowser", but that sounded too masculine, and since I don't know the tortoise's gender yet, I decided to go with the slightly more gender-neutral name. So far, the little fella seems happy and healthy. I've dug a burrow for him in the backyard and everything, and I put up a rubber barrier along the other side of the house to prevent it from going under the gate.

I thought the barrier would be foolproof, but last weekend, I found the tortoise on the other side of the barrier taking a nap...

The attached video will show an easy, zero-risk method for utilizing poor pathfinding AI to easily dispatch all three giant club-weilding Barbarians near the Valley of Drakes / Londo Ruins entrance to Blighttown.

All you need to do is get their attention, then run back to the ladder that goes down into Blighttown and climb down a rung or two. The Barbarians will chase you, then fall to their deaths when they get to the wooden walkway. I was never able to get more than one of them to follow me at a time, so if you want to kill all three of them using this method...

Last week, on October 6th, PlayStation 3 owners may have been too busy playing the newly-released game Dark Souls to remember that the day marked the second anniversary of the release of (quite possibly) the best PlayStation 3 game to have been released so far: Demon's Souls. In fact, I almost forgot about too, until I logged in today to see this message on the game's boot-up screen:

Demon's Souls 2nd birthday message

In celebration of the event, Atlus and FROM Software have set all players' world tendencies to pure white from October 6th up through October 17th. Pure White world tendency (if you don't know already) gives the player slightly more hit points, decreases the difficulty of some enemies, and opens up new paths containing valuable loot and access to NPCs and side-quests.

But this reward doesn't come without a price,...

They will be doing so without the NCAA license, and under the new title, EA Sports College Football. I guess Bill Walsh wasn't available for licensing either? Expectations...

Snowfall feels more like a limited map pack than a genuine expansion to Cities: SkylinesSnowfall feels more like a limited map pack than a genuine expansion to Cities: Skylines03/11/2016 I described Cities: Skylines' first expansion, After Dark, as " just tak[ing] the Cities: Skylines canvas, and offer[ing] the player a few more colors to optionally paint with." That expansion didn't really do much to change the way that the game is really played, but rather just focused on adding further specialization options...
